Game Night… Day 7

Oma and Opa leave tomorrow. Ashton is always upset when they leave. Telling me no they can’t go or he wants to go with them, (he once told us he loves their house because it has stairs! lol silly goober!). He’s good when they actually leave but deep down he wants them to stay forever! Poor kid. I’m so busy and boring now. It is one of my major resolutions to spend more time with Ashton during the day and not always focus on my shop. Another reason I closed one of my shops. I want to do more arts / crafts with him. Play with his toys more and most of all feed his need for board games.. David HATES BOARD GAMES.. unless it’s Stratego, (which is a fun game) but when we play together he has this, “it’s not over yet?” look on his face. Ashton however is OBSESSED with board games. Plays with them everyday. Which is a good thing because I BOUGHT A TON! Some of them are too advanced for him but I will be ready when he wants to play more. Right now his favorite of favorites is a game called Orchard by Haba. Another favorite is Hasch Mich, which is German for CATCH ME! also by Haba. Haba just makes the most beautiful games. I’m not joking! They make the most beautiful anything really! He has several other Haba games but they have yet to stick with him. I’m just glad he hasn’t asked to play Candyland or Chutes and Ladders lately! I’m a big fan on dexterity games.. I’m sad to see my mom go. She does so much around here.. cooks, cleans, does ALL my laundry! Takes super good care of Ashton. it’s like a vacation for my brain! Ashton gets to do all kinds of things when they are around. I didn’t get as much work done as I had hoped. I kept going out with them. I just hate regretting not hanging out with my family when they are here. It’s hard. SOOO I’m hoping I can get some energy and tackle three mobiles by week end. It’s been so cold here that I can’t spray paint my wooden mobiles. I need it to be above 60F and it’s barely over 40F for weeks now! gah! Next two days are supposed to be rain rain rain, (which I love and excited about) but then again rain = allergies.. hahaha.. Anyway, we played five games with oma and daddy. Games are SO MUCH more fun with more than two people! I really wish David enjoyed them more! lol. I just need another kid who enjoys it as much as we do!
